سنن أبي داود 2544

Narrated AbuWahb: The Prophet (ﷺ) said: Keep to every sorrel horse with a white blaze and white on the legs, or dark bay with a white blaze. He then mentioned something similar. Muhammad ibn al-Muhajir said: I asked him: Why was a sorrel horse preferred? He replied: Because the Prophet (ﷺ) had sent a contingent, and the man who first brought the news of victory was the rider of a sorrel horse

Rapporté par Abu Wahb : Le Prophète ﷺ a dit : « Préférez les chevaux alezans avec une liste blanche et des balzanes blanches, ou bai foncé avec une liste blanche. » Il a ensuite mentionné quelque chose de similaire. Muhammad ibn al-Muhajir a dit : « Je lui ai demandé : pourquoi préfère-t-on le cheval alezan ? » Il a répondu : « Parce que le Prophète ﷺ avait envoyé un détachement, et l’homme qui a rapporté le premier la nouvelle de la victoire montait un cheval alezan. »
