Narrated 'Abd al-Rahman b. Yazid:On the authority of Ibn Mas'ud: When Ibn Mas'ud came to the largest jamrah, he stood with the House (the Ka'bah) on his left and Mina on his right, and he thew seven pebbles at the jamrah. Then he said: Thus he did throw to whom Surat al-Baqarah was sent down

Rapporté par 'Abd al-Rahman b. Yazid, d’après Ibn Mas'ud : Quand Ibn Mas'ud arrivait à la plus grande jamrah, il se plaçait avec la Ka’bah à sa gauche et Mina à sa droite, puis il lançait sept cailloux sur la jamrah. Ensuite il disait : « C’est ainsi qu’a lancé celui à qui la sourate al-Baqarah a été révélée. »
