حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ هِلاَلِ بْنِ يِسَافٍ، عَنْ فَرْوَةَ بْنِ نَوْفَلٍ الأَشْجَعِيِّ، قَالَ سَأَلْتُ عَائِشَةَ أُمَّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ عَمَّا كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَدْعُو بِهِ قَالَتْ كَانَ يَقُولُ ‏ "‏ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا عَمِلْتُ وَمِنْ شَرِّ مَا لَمْ أَعْمَلْ ‏"‏ ‏.‏

Farwah b. Nawfal Al-Ashja'i asked 'Aishah the Mother of the Believers, about the supplication of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ). She replied:"He would say: 'O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have done, and from the evil of what I have not done

Farwah b. Nawfal Al-Ashja’i a demandé à Aishah (la mère des croyants) رضي الله عنها au sujet de l’invocation du Messager d’Allah ﷺ. Elle a répondu : « Il disait : “Ô Allah, je cherche refuge auprès de Toi contre le mal de ce que j’ai fait et contre le mal de ce que je n’ai pas fait.” »
